Weapon | Damage | Range | Inking | Mobility | Lessers | Ease of Use | Role |
| 210 | 3 | 5 | 4 | 4 | 3 | All-Rounder |
Recycled Brella | - A very good all-around weapon. The shield has a much faster release than other brella after holding ZR. Use this to your advantage to splat/damage lessers when they are lined up.
- During Goldie Rush and Mudmouths it can be useful to release the brella shield to splat Chum.
|
| 180 | 3 | 5 | 4 | 4 | 4 | All-Rounder |
Splat Brella | - A very good all-around weapon. Utilise its Shield by holding ZR to protect yourself when needed or to release the shield to splat/damage lessers.
- During Goldie Rush and Mudmouths it can be useful to release the brella shield to splat Chum.
|
| 360 | 4 | 2 | 2 | 4 | 1 | Technical/Backliner |
Tenta Brella | - Although it is slow, this weapon does deal good amounts of damage. As it’s not the most mobile and the fire rate is slow, be aware of your surroundings when using this.
- The shield has more HP than the Splat Brella so be sure to maximise this and splat lessers. Be mindful of your ink tank – choose between using your shield or a bomb.
- During Goldie Rush, Mudmouths, Tornado and Grillers it can be useful to release the brella shield to splat lessers.
- When on top of a FIsh Stick if you stand at the edge and hold out the brella canopy, the Smallfry will fly into the brella and get splatted.
|
| 150 | 3 | 4 | 4 | 3 | 3 | Turfer |
Undercover Brella | - A good weapon to paint and deal with Fish Sticks/Flipper Floppers especially.
- Unfortunately the Undercover Brella does get punished with knockback when shooting Salmonid at close range. If you are near a ledge/water, be aware of this. One measure to counter this is instead of holding ZR when shooting, tap fire it instead.
- During Grillers, your main focus should be the smallfry as the shield is able to splat them efficiently.

- Drizzler: damage dealt when shooting Drizzlers directly, effectiveness at being able to reach or maneuver to shoot down Drizzler torpedoes.
- Fish Stick: the Smallfry getting splatted without climbing the stick, ability to paint the stick and splat the Smallfry from the top and the speed in which the Smallfry can be splatted.
- Flipper Flopper: how well the weapon can paint the Flipper Flopper’s circle, whether it is good/bad at dealing direct damage to the Flipper Flopper while it is in mid-air.

- Can tap shot Stinger pots which have 60HP.
|
| 50/300 | 5 | 2 | 2 | 3 | 3 | Backliner |
Splat Charger | - Can hold a charge for a short time when submerging into ink which can be beneficial to splat targets and be mobile at the same time.

Dualies |
---|
Weapon | Damage | Range | Inking | Mobility | Lessers | Ease of Use | Role |

Dapple Dualies | - Arguably the best weapon for Salmon Run. Deals so much damage with a fast fire rate and very mobile.
- It’s turret mode can reach Steelhead bombs when close enough. But otherwise, use height on the stage for advantage.
- Focus slaying bosses and lessers as much as possible to make it easier for your team.
|
| 30 | 3 | 3 | 4 | 3 | 2 | Technical/All-Rounder |
Dark Tetra Dualies | - Benefits from being able dodge roll multiple times which can help to avoid getting splatted. However, be cautious of the end lag.

|
| 40 | 4 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 3 | All-Rounder |
Douser Dualies | - It feels like a stronger version of the Dualie Squelchers. Good range and fairly powerful.

|
| 45 | 4 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 2 | Technical/Aggressor |
Glooga Dualies | - The Dodge rolls for this are quite wide so be aware of your surroundings and timing the rolls so you don’t fall off ledges or into Salmonids.
- It doesn’t paint its feet very well so try and paint around you beforehand if needed.
- Damage more than doubles in turret mode so utilise this as much as safely possible
|
| 30 | 3 | 5 | 5 | 5 | 4 | All-Rounder |
Splat Dualies | - Very strong weapon overall, it’s generally considered a great all-rounder due to its damage, mobility and ink efficiency.

Weapon | Damage | Range | Inking | Mobility | Lessers | Ease of Use | Role |
| 100/150/160 | 3 | 5 | 5 | 2 | 2 | Turfer |
Big Swig Roller | - Big Swigs roll damage is not the best as it can’t roll Chum for an instant splat. Often it is best to maximise the wide spread of its horizontal flick.
- It’s a great painting weapon and quite ink efficient too so be sure to maintain map control with this.
|
| 70/160/160 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 3 | 3 | Turfer/Support |
Carbon Roller | - Maximise the mobility and speed of this roller by being aggressive across the map and running eggs when possible.
- Doesn’t have the strongest damage when rolling so it is required to flick quite often to deal greater damage.
|
| 400/200300 | 4 | 2 | 1 | 5 | 1 | Technical/Aggressor |
Dynamo Roller | - The Dynamo Roller is very good as a damage dealer and clearer of lessers. You should be rolling lessers as much as possible as opposed to flicking as this rolls through any lesser.
- The vertical flick can one shot splat Steelheads.
- If you put the roller down and spin under a stinger it splats the pots.
- It also works well when rolling over bosses such as Scrappers, Steel Eels and Maws.
- It excels on Goldie Rush, Goldie Seeking waves where you must maximise its rolling power to roll the horde or Goldies to quickly get a large amount of eggs from it.
- On Mudmouths, get to golden Mudmouths quickly and roll in front of the instantly splat the Cohocks which allows teammates to throw bombs.
- During Tornado waves ensure that when lessers fall from the sky you are in that area to roll the lessers easily.
|
| 125/200/300 | 4 | 4 | 3 | 4 | 4 | Technical/Aggressor |
Flingza Roller | - Deals slightly less damage than the Dynamo but it has better mobility.
- The vertical flick can one shot splat Steelheads.
- If you put the roller down and spin under a stinger it splats the pots.
- It excels on Goldie Rush, Goldie Seeking waves where you must maximise it’s rolling power to roll the horde or Goldies to quickly get a large amount of eggs from it.
|
| 35/200 | 3 | 3 | 4 | 3 | 3 | Aggressor |
Splat Roller | - The all-purpose Roller. It’s good at everything a Roller excels at but not great at anything.
|
| 40/36 | 1 | 4 | 5 | 2 | 2 | Turfer |
Inkbrush | - Very mobile weapons so this should be used to your advantage by going around the map and dealing with high priority threats if required, such as Stingers and Flyfish.
- Its damage output is quite low so staying in one place too long may get you splatted. Keep moving, adjust your position and use walls and heights to your advantage.
|
| 40/60 | 3 | 3 | 5 | 4 | 3 | All-Rounder |
Octobrush | - A good all-around weapon, it’s not as ink efficient as the Inkbrush so keep an eye on your ink tank.
|
| 50/150 | 4 | 3 | 4 | 4 | 3 | All-Rounder |
Painbrush | - A slower slash rate compared to the other brushes however it has more range and power. It is a solid weapon at slaying bosses and lessers.
- Not the most ink efficient weapon so keep on eye on your ink tank.
- Best to play in an aggressive manner to slay bosses as it can quickly splat bosses like Steelheads because of it’s range and power.

- If you tap fire with ZR you get more damage and range from the bullets with no deviation in the bullets. This should be used to splat bosses.

Weapon | Damage | Range | Inking | Mobility | Lessers | Ease of Use | Role |
| 35-25 | 5 | 4 | 3 | 5 | 2 | All-Rounder |
Ballpoint Splatling | - Very unique Splatling and one of the stronger weapons in Salmon Run.
- It deals a great amount of damage in its short range shred mode which should be utilised as much as possible. As a result, this weapon can be played a lot more aggressively than the other long range Splatlings.
- Long range mode is useful when dealing further targets but the timing has to be on point because it will fire its short range shots first before going to its long range.
|
| 35-25 | 5 | 4 | 3 | 4 | 2 | Backliner |
Heavy Edit Splatling | - A technical weapon that seems to combine aspects of the Ballpoint and Heavy Splatlings.
- It has a faster fire rate with a partial charge and higher DPS, with a longer duration on a full charge.
- The partial charge is not as strong as the Ballpoint and the full charge takes longer than a regular Heavy Splatling.
- It has some flexibility as it’s quite mobile and can do a lot of things but it doesn’t excel at anything in particular.
|
| 35-25 | 5 | 3 | 2 | 4 | 3 | Backliner |
Heavy Splatling | - Has solid range, damage and charge time.
- A great all-rounder weapon due to its damage, turf and mobility.
|
| 35-25/60-25 | 5 | 4 | 2 | 3 | 2 | Backliner |
Hydra Splatling | - On a full charge the Hydra Splatling does so much damage. Be sure to position yourself well and take full advantage of this power.
- Positioning is important with this weapon due to how long it takes to charge and how slow the mobility is. However, its range allows you to shoot from far away so be sure to stand further back from enemies and be mindful of the turf around you.
- During a King Salmonid wave this weapon should focus on shooting the King Salmonid as it deals so much damage on a full charge.
|
| 35-25 | 3 | 5 | 3 | 3 | 3 | All-Rounder |
Mini Splatling | - A decent weapon overall, it’s very good at inking and is mobile.
- Its ink efficiency is not as great as other weapons, so be mindful of your ink tank.
|
| 35-25 | 3 | 3 | 3 | 3 | 3 | All-Rounder |
Nautilus 47 | - Although it doesn’t fire for as long on a full charge as some Splatlings, it is a strong weapon.
- Unique in its ability to maintain a charge, fire that charge, and reset that charge whenever it wants without losing it.
- Can hold its charge while swimming in ink and has very good swim speed.

REEF-LUX 450 | - Tap shots on smallfry do not take them out in 1 hit. Try to do a very slightly partial charge to be able to 1 hit them
- Try to avoid doing tap, especially when a horde of lessers is approaching as it won’t be strong enough to splat them and may get you splatted.
- Full charge does 210 (70 per arrow) and half charge does approx 100. Many bosses will take 1.5 or 2.5 full charge shots to take down.
- Paints the map very well, has great ink efficiency and is a fast weapon. Useful to go out to assist with Stingers and Flyfish.

Tri-Stringer | - Fully charged shots can take out Steelheads in one shot.
- A mix between a charger and a splatling – it has two rings during its charge to indicate power and range. Consider standing slightly further away to avoid being overrun by lessers.
- Able to arc its shots high and over enemies – consider doing this if your target is blocked by lessers.
- When tap shotting, each projectile has 30 damage.
- When charged, each projectile has 35 damage, for a maximum of 105 if all 3 shots hit the same target.
- If a charged projectile lands on the floor, they briefly freeze before exploding and it has a damage of 28 per projectile, totalling 84 damage.

| 50×5/120×5 | 5 | 4 | 4 | 3 | 1 | Technical/Aggressor |
Wellstring V | - Wellstring is a heavyweight weapon. It functions similar to Grizzco Stringer but obviously not as powerful.
- Tap shots are decent at dealing with weaker lessers but for Cohocks and bosses you are better served with using fully charged shots.
- To deal the maximum amount of damage ensure all the reticles are locked on to your target.
- Full charge does 600 (120 per arrow) damage and half charge does approx 400 depending on how many of the reticles are going to hit your target.
- To be fully effective with this weapon you have to be quite close up so it is best to be played aggressively.

Maws and Flyfish were not included as these bosses are best dealt with using Splat Bombs.- Big Shot: how well the weapon does at splatting the Big Shots directly and playing around the area of the Big Shots that may have other Salmonids around. Weapons with long range have been given credit for being able to damage/splat Big Shots from a distance.
- Scrapper: how easy it is to stun the Scrapper and splat it.
- Slammin’ Lid: how the weapon is able to approach the Slammin’ Lid and trigger it with possible lessers being dropped in front of you and being able to splat the Slammin’ Lid directly with the main weapon.
- Steel Eel: ability to get to the tail, damage dealt to the tail.
- Stinger: getting to Stingers, speed and ease of splatting them, weapon range from splatting.
